Here is a photo of my recently retrofitted hood. I purchased these high intensity under cabinet LED's at lowes for 45 dollars a set for a grand total of 450$ to complete the set up. my tank is lit up like noon on the equator now, and my corals are loving it! I simply removed the outer tubes and replaced them with the led's which i attached with industrial velcro. i also added a strip on the ballast cover. The best part is that the led's are good for over 10 years!

Interesting, have you taken any kind of PAR readings?

The par reading at the top of the tank is at 1120!

Whats brand LED lights are those from Lowes? got pictures of the led fixtures?

That tank looks amazing with the leds...
