The long awaited week 1 in the NFL is finally here

well your right its going to be a long road to even the playoffs if my beloved bears cant stop the turnovers.

heard something funny. "Chicago should go into the bakery business, their moto could be we specialize in turnovers"

Dont get me wrong I love the bears and always have but they have got to play just a little better and possible get rid of grossman.

Come on Craig where you at man? Been waiting to hear it! :D

Should be interesting next week ND VS. Michigan :rolleye1:

What a difference a year makes...

Michigan and Bears fan here.

Bears. The D was solid. No Nike ads from LT :p . The offense ugh. the WR hung Grossmen out to dry on that throw. Fumble. Fumble. Fumble. A loss but it was a tough road opener. I still think it will be a good year. I mean the NFC north come on. We could make the play offs with Orton at QB.

Michigan. Pound away guys. This is mid meltdown. 1st 4 loss streak since 1932. 1st time they lost the first two since 1958. If App St. wasn't bad enough. Oregon was worse in my opinion. The injuries most damaging. Lets see your Michigan. Oregon has got an answer for everything you throw at them and then your senior starting QB gets injured. The starter with the full O set can do ship but the kid that can't find GEO 101 on campus yet gets to try and fix it with a simpler pared down version of the O. Good luck. 3 captains went out with injuries during that game. Matt you guys have as good of chance as ever.

As a life long Wolverines fan, I may almost be willing to give the game to the Irish this year...

Of course, I only have one Irish fan friend...the rest and my coworkers are all Hawk fans and they are far and away more annoying. Irish fans I can respect because the program has a history. They have a legacy that few teams can match.
Iowa...they have Herkie...and...um....well they have Herkie....

ND only had a history when they could buy up 100 recruits a year. Since the standardize amount of scholarships per school ND has done nothing.
As a Mich fan at least now I will not talk about them getting the Nat championship to the get smoked the last 2 games of the year.
As a Bears fan all I can say is the same as Mich. And why? Why? Why keep playing Rex Jokeman!

Glad to see so many Bears fans around :)

Honestly, I have been wanting to see Orton taking the snaps again. He was green when he played his first several starts and I thought he did a great job given the circumstances. Yes, the special teams and defense carried the team... but has it been so different with Grossman? At least he wasnt fumbling snaps.. IMO there is absolutely no excuse for that to happen as often as it has been. Quit dropping the ball man!! please.

I was really glad to see that they are able to stop the run (LT had 11 carries for 12 yards in the first half) and fully expect to see them being a force in the playoffs again this year!
