Hello everyone !!
I have been running this tank for a full year now, and fortunately the coraline algae made its appearance few months ago but still very shy. My phosphate reading is undetectable and the nitrate varies between .20ppm and 1 ppm since pretty a while and this nuisance algea just don't want to leave the scene. I tried NOPOX, I reduced considerbly the addition of Reef Energy to once a week along with the Oyster feast, I feed my fish very carefully and slowly twice a day in order to prevent any left-over, I tried a chaeto reactor but the chaeto didn't survive because of either insufficient nutrients in water or improper light (Red-Blue plant grow LED strip, maybe too much at the beginning, reduced little by little but still it died), I replaced 3 of the 4 fluorecent bulbs cool light included in the tank for blue ones. Water changes of 14.5 USGal every two - three weeks out of 105 gallons total tank volume. The over-all health of the tank inhabitants in my opinion is good as you can apreciate in the video.
My desperation
lies in I have been patient, making slow changes and wait for this full year and still a have to remove a heavy film of a sort of hairy algae from the glass every few (3-4 days) and brush the yellowish chunks from the rocks showing in the video every two weeks.
I have the guess that my nutrient readings are low because the algae is taking them before I can measure. My next step is up-grading my light system which was included in my tank for Power LED MAXPECT ETHEREAL beacause I feel the light system is not sufficient as my corals are growing but very slowly in comparition with the acroporas I had several years ago under Metal Halide and actinic fluorecent bulb which were growing like crazy.
I am sorry to almost write a novel down here but I want to give plenty of information, my other parameters are :
Alkalinity swinging from 7-10 dKH and Ca from 300 - 380 because the consumption incresed and I am still figuring out the normal addition. The PH has been always constant 8.2, Mg constant 1380-1400 ppm
Should I use my former chaeto reactor and instead fill it with Granular Ferric Oxide media? Any other media? Please comment !!

Best Regards to all !!
