I got it all figured out and hooked up, I have it running on my back porch so IF it leaks it wont ruin the carpet, so far so good!

BK, did you drill the hole your self for the overflow?.....lol the bottom of my tank spiderwebed all over lol.....maybe it was the bumpy ride home....sylicon here I come lol its not that bad just 1 pretty long crack, but it drips not poors so I will sylicon it and see how it works.....well, I syliconed it about 12 hours ago lol....

Nope, had gravois glass do it. You probably did not level the tank or you overtightened the bulkhead. Not leveling the tank being the one, I believe... A hole in glass is going to become the weak spot...

You will need to replace that botton glass or somehow patch it with another piece of glass covering the crack 6" in every direction. I would replace the glass anything else is just asking for trouble. Siliconing it might hold for now but 2 weeks down the road it will leak...

alright, how much to get it replaced?.....wouldnt you need to redo the overflow and the hole.....lol I geuss thats an easy answer lol.... how much am I looking at here?....I bet I did over tighten it The hole leaked so my dad and I cut the threds on the pvc and it fit snug....did I make a mistake? I set the rubber seals on and it was still to loose and spilled. There was about a half inch of threads sticking out still.....LMK

It fit when I had it together. Maybe there was something on the threads or you kinked one or two...

You should be able to cut the overflow off the tank with a utility knife. I'm not sure how much new 30 gal tanks are but that might be easyer and cheaper then replacing the bottom glass alone. I have never replaced the bottom of a tank but I can tell you that replacing one of the sides is not easy.

I have one more 30 gal tank with 2 holes. One in the left side at the top and one in the back on the left side. The one on the back glass is already patched with a piece of glass and patching the other one would be easy. They can both be covered with rock so that you don't see them...
