Area "montipora" starting to get some growth. The green one on the left is new and impossible to get a pic of. The superman is really starting to encrust and the red branching one has really taken off...

good looking setup, im waiting on the petco $1 per gallon sale so i can go out and get me one of those 40 breeders to setup.

Been crazy busy lately. I have a client that absolutely drives me NUTS! Finally have a few minutes to update this thread. Tank has gone through a few changes. Swapped out some corals (again!). Reason being is I have found that keeping SPS and LPS happy in such a shallow tank isn't easy. Decided I liked LPS better and removed the acros except the Hawkins and Pearlberry which seem to do well under lower light. I got a good trade value for them with my LFS and got some nice montis and LPS. Apologize for the phone pics. I wish I could show the truer colors of these corals...

About a month ago before I removed the middle acros...

Warpaint wellsophyllia (wish the LED pics weren't so bad. The color streaking on this thing is insane!). Also spongebob favia frag (background), oregon ducks favia (right of the nem) and superman monti above. The polyps on the superman have darkened to almost purple with red and blue rim...

Equipment wise I just got a MP-10. I never get anything for free but the MP-10 was!!! Ecotech customer services rocks! Its a non-Ecosmart driver but I love it. The plan going forward is to just allow most of the corals I have now to grow out. I think I have spaced/grouped them pretty well to allow some decent size before any contact/warfare starts. I am in the market for one more nice chalice to go near the red one, one or 2 more scoly, another acan and an additional favia. After that I think I'll be about tapped on space to allow any decent growth. Fish wise I think i am done. Maybe a small rock hugging fish but I don't want a goby. Something small that hops around the rocks. Once these corals get size on them I will hopefully be ready for an upgrade so sort of looking at this as a grow out tank. I'm sure I won't be able to resist another frag or two not on my list but I finally have an idea of what the tank will look like and I want to "try" and stick to it :).

Look forward to it Sam.

How are the SPS doing under the t5?

SPS doing great. The 2 acros I just removed had good growth and great color. The remaining hawkins and pearlberry look great as well although the pearlberry is still just a small frag. The montis are colored up well and encrusting with no signs of slowing down. With the shallow height of the tank, a decent 4 bulb T5 is more than enough IME. Probably would be enough on a 18-20" tall tank too but SPS placement would probably play a bigger role.

For referemce the acros you see in the center and up top in this photo...
