The Perfect Nano

Hi guys...

i'm busy trying to figure out whether or not to set up a tank.

If i do, it will contain the following:
*1 awesome pair of clowns
*a nennie for said clowns
*lots of sps
*maybe some lps and softies

So i need help deciding on the best route to take. Currently, all that i know about the tank is that i want it to be a cube.

Whats the current latest and greatest nano filtration methods? sump or no sump? Aquaforest seems to be spoken about quite often...

Anyhow, any thoughts and ideas on how to create an awesome sps dominated nano would be great

cheers

If I had the opportunity (and the money) to do something different than what I did (Oceanic 32 gallon Biocube) I would do the Red Sea Reefer 170. Check them out, all in one kind of setup and an overall beautiful tank.

If you are going with a nano volume, I would suggest that you focus on only one of those categories for the tank i.e. focus only on clowns with anemone, or SPS, or LPS/softies...not a combination. Each species has widely differing lighting/flow/water quality needs and it is difficult to establish those different zones in a single small tank.

Waterbox is having a sale on there 40.1 gallon setup. $699 is a great deal. Very similar to Red Sea and it comes with a way better ATO

+1 on this. If money was not an issue, I would currently have a Red Sea in my living room, not a used Solana. Lol

I've seen them in person, they are a BEAUTIFUL tank. I really like the optional sump as well. Just my $0.02.

Take a look at the IM Nuvo Fusion 40. I bought one last year and am letting it mature, going on about 5 months old. Close enough to a cube, reasonably priced and a very aesthetically pleasing tank. Overall I have been very happy with it.
