i am so excited.... been on reefcentral for a while and could never figure out the picture thing... well now i have and you are going to be sorry!

this is the re birth of my 210 gallon inwall... just went through and redid everything in the fish room... took all the rock out of the display and redid that also... tell me what you think of the rock work...

more pictures will follow of the fish room....

well i had a full tank of coral and fish, mostly a softie tank.... i am wanting to do a sps dominant tank and so decided to redo the tank. i also wanted to make the room a bit more workable and figured now was the time to do it. i redid the plumbing, plumbed in a 180 gallon sump and a 75 gallon fuge, also the wife wanted all fish stuff out of teh rest of the house so i also put in the room on its on system a frag tank.... that is a 75 with a 29 gallonish sump....

I think if you could stand the rockwork up a little taller, would make the island effect really stand out... right now, kinda just looks like a rolling underwater valley... not like two mountains with an ominous drop off between them... haha not saying it should look scary... I hope you get what I was saying... maybe try using some aquarium epoxy to hold the rocks and you build higher while still being structurally sound

Gotta respectfully disagree - I think its good. And if he is going SPS dominant you have to leave room for the acros to grow in. The rocks are a foundation, not the finished product.

I personally would leave it how it is.... except Id move ONE rock. Id make one of those mounds visually taller than the other. Just so theyre not symmetrical. Besides that, I think it looks totally fine. Like Cliffy said, its just the foundation...

it is going to be sps dominant... i thought about putting more rock in there i just did not want to have to much... i am going to do the 6 inch rule and try to keep every thing spaced out.... i think that once the sps start growing in that the rock work wont be as important.... i want to leave room to grow like said before..thanks for the feed back. i am going to try and get some pics of the fish room so that i can get some feed back there as well...
