The secret third split bubble tip anemone

Hi everybody, I had a BTA split a few weeks ago...... The clone did some wandering around and finally settled down and found a happy place in the tank.... Did a water change tonight and noticed something blocking the bottom grating of my overflow, it's a cad lights 18g. Turns out it was a third very small split. I have no idea when this happened, and how long it has been stuck there. He's pretty mangled and managed to get him out of there, it segregated him In a basket in the same tank, I'm just worried he won't pull through and looking for opinions, the mouth still looks intact, not really much of a foot to speak of, the tentacles still move around and the odd on inflates here and there. Is it a goner? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416969536.887735.jpg

And a pic of the mother and what it "should" look like. Just cause. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416969598.070375.jpg

Lol thanks, on the second pic. I'm hoping, fingers crossed that the damage won't be too severe and it will heal up over time. It looked better this morning. Looks can be deceiving though.

I'm not truly sure, I did open a thread a few months ago to find a "name" for it, but I finally settled on that its a BTA, no name given. It's very pretty and quite unusual in color and I like it and that's what really matters to me. Some people did say sunburst, others inferno I believe.

Its a colorado sunburst. orange body, yellow tips, green base. the yellow tips make it different from an inferno because the infernos body and tips are a deeper orange.

Congrats on the split. I hope it becomes healthy because you sir just made 350 bucks... 300 if you dont want to be a dick.

It does look so much better, tips are inflated and staying that way, he's in a basket, I was worried if he went downhill fast I could pull him out, a tentacle here and there is poking out through the basket, looks like he's in jail. :)

I got lucky when I saw it, it didn't look that vibrant at the store, got it into my tank and my jaw dropped. It has now split three times in 5 or so months. Not complaining!

It still blows me away the price of these things, I'm in Ontario Canada and to tell the truth I paid 115 for the original one, which I thought was expensive..... I'm guessing BTA's south of the border are a lot more expensive? I found this guy today at a "Black Friday" sale (yes I know it's Thursday haha) ImageUploadedByTapatalk1417132568.522657.jpg 40 bucks. I have been looking at it at the store for over a month.... iPhone pic, yes it looks like that in person, no photoshop for this girl.

Yellow tips/yellow in general is rare for BTA's, and people say they don't split as often (hah), thus the outrageous prices. Your new one is nice as well but it wouldn't fetch nearly as much.

Like I said in your other thread, you will not find a BTA like yours online for under $200. If so please send me the link. I would pay you $200 plus shipping for one of those clones, but you might get more in a sale thread. I'm not trying to make this a sales thread, but just trying to say what a great deal you got when you purchased that BTA. We love pictures so feel free to post more.
