The SH tank is almost there.

I have a firefish and a yellow watchman goby with my two seahorses. I have never had a problem with them at all. The fish don't eat their food and the seahorses ignore them. I did try a lawnmower blenny, but after two days he got aggressive with everything in the tank, including the horses. You know he had to go immediately!!!!!!

BTW....The tank looks great. I'm sure your daughter loves it! =)

Yes that Sawblade Caluerpa...Stuff grows like crazy. Seems to be containing the Bryopsis stage that I am now in....Goody that means cyano is next.

I am currently having a hard time getting the pH to buffer. Its quite unstable. I lost the leather that was in that pic...Don't know how I have never lost a leather in 15 years of reefkeeping.

I am holding off on another fish which will be a scooter blenny more than likely. I really need to get the water right. I think I went a little too fast on this one. I need to re-read some Borneman an then hit myself several times about the head and neck with it......Forgive me Reef gods I have forgotten the mantra!

Thanks All
Scott

i have a 35gallon hex w/ two reidi seahorses. a reason why you might consider skipping a fish is b/c the seahorses are sooooo slow when it comes to eating food, that the fish will beat out the SH everytime and the SH will eventually die of starvation. i also have a 80gallon w/ corals and many fish. the fish are ravenous and devour anything (i.e. algae, macro, flakes, frozen stuff) that i put in that tank.

a fish i have w/ my SH's are pipefish. I've had one for about 2 months now, I don't really know much about them. can't say i have honestly fed the darn thing. it's still alive so it's finding some food somewhere in my tank. my male reidi had babies a few days back and the pipefish made a meal of the babies though. so if you want SH babies in your tank don't get a pipefish. otherwise, the pipefish would be a best bet for your tank. Pipefish are VERY slow moving, so they don't spook the SH's at all.

Just changed over from the HOB to a Fluval 104....Much better. The micro bubbles have gone way down.

Very happy with the change.
