I have a 4 bulb, 48" Aquaticlife and a dual bulb, 48" Aquaticlife fixture over my 110 gallon (48Lx18Dx30H). They are all stock. I have tow BTAs in right now. What combinations and arrangement of bulbs would you recommend? Thanks!

I got the same 40 gallon tank, can I keep LPS and SPS under these lights?

As long as you don't have a piece of crap Ho bay fixture. Make sure the SPS are below the reflectors.

Do a ATI Blue Plus and Purple Plus in the 2 lamp unit for duskdawn then do 3 Blue Plus and a GE 6500K on the other.

I decided to go back to my 4 bulb ATI Powermodule from the 6 bulb. I have an assortment of bulb laying around. What would be a good 4 bulb combo? Tank is SPS and a H. Crispa anemone.

This is my current inventory
3 Blue Plus
2 Aquablue Special
1 Purple Plus (not crazy about the tank color with this bulb)
1 KZ New Generation
1 GE 6500K

For dusk to Dawn go with either 2 ATI Blue Plus bulbs or one Blue Plus with one Purple Plus.

Tor the total set up
1 either New Generation, ATI Aqua Blue Special, or GE 6,400K
1 ATI Purple Plus
the remaining 6 as ATI Blue Plus

the other bulb can vay by your poersonal color preference between the Aquablue, New Generation, and GE 6,500K. Try one for4 a week than swap to another and see which you like better. Than a week ;later make the swap again. But give it a week to decide as initialy any color change is a shock to the eye and a few day later will either seem better or worst than originaly seen.

Put the New Gen in place of the GE 6500K and see what you think

In what way do you dislike the effect from the purple plus? If it is not blue enough for you than replace it with another Blue Plus, If you think things are too blue than try something like a aqua blue special in its place. Or you can leave it in and try other full spectrum bulbs in place of the GE 6,500. I know I used to think the GE 6,500 K was to yellow until I went with 6 Blue Plus bulb and a purple plus.

Not common but shouldn't be bad. The Blue Plus lamp has higher PAR than the Aquasun. The Blue T5's have very good PAR.

I would love to go with ATI but I can't have a hanging fixture,I need a fixture with legs.I'm looking for a good 6x24 fixture with legs to go on my Cadlights signature series.Also could you suggest a bulb combo that will give me a 12k to 15k look.Thank you in advance

They are OK. 4 ATI Blue Plus with the 10K and Purple lamp that comes with the fixture would look good. Once it's time to replace those the Purple Plus and a GE 6500K would be good to run with 4 blue plus.

Time to replace the bulbs in my AquaticLife 4x54W fixture on my 55 gallon 4ft tank. The tank is packed full of euphyllias, blastos, scolyimia, acan, elegance, bubble, brains, various palys and shrooms along with a large RBTA. There is one peice of SPS I just picked up, a large peice of jedi mind trick monti.

I've been running the following front to back...

1. Geisemann Power Chrome Actinic +
2. Geisemann Power Chrome AquaBlue +
3. KZ Fiji Purple
4. Geisemann Power Chrome Actinic +

Any suggestions only bulb combinations. I'm thinking of trying out some ATI's. My current bulb combo is kind of pinkish in the day, which I'm not too fond of. Looking for a well balanced look, but not too white. Thanks.

Yeah, Less red. Personally I'd do the GE instead of Aquasun
