Bummer. Still waiting got a 36" Ice Cap Fixture.
Thanks

Ok guys... I have a 75g tank and I am wondering weather or not I absolutely have to upgrade before i put in any stonys. I am running 6x T5 bulbs 4x 10000K and 2x Actinic Blues... Will this be sufficient? or do I absolutely need some MHs?
If I go with MH I will be going for a 48" fixture with 2x 150w HQI 14000ks and 2x T5 Actinics for supplement. I really wish to avoid this option for as long as possible so my question is "Do I NEED this lighting?" or will stonys be fine under this lighting for awhile... maybe 6 months or so until i can pull the funds together to spend on the big fixture.
65g 36x18x24 - What is the best T5 setup for >$300?

ATI Blue Plus
UVL 75/25

GE 6500K Daylight
ATI Blue Plus
UVL Super Actinic
ATI Blue Plus
Should be 14Kish and 7 of the lamps have at least some actinic range output do you should get good pop. The dusk/dawn should look cool. The 75/25 has some red in it so you get to see colors normally missed with just blue and actinic lamps.
I have a 75 gallon and recently replaced my lights. Now my nepthia and pulsing xenia seem to be going downhill over the past two weeks. The nepthia hasn't been extending or opening its polyps much and the zenia is not as robust.
I'm checking for water quality issues as well, but could the lighting be too intense for them with the following running for 10 hours a day:
2 blue plus
1 IceCap 12000K Midwater (which was described to me as identical to UVL Actinic White)
1 Korallen Zucht New Generation 14000K (which was described as just a little blue than an Aqua Blue, but otherwise almost the same)
Thanks!

Hi Grim, I'm currently running the following:
48" 54w Miro-4 ReefGeek retro
Blue+
75/25
Aqua Blue
Blue+
I'm not totally happy with it although I don't really know why. I see you recommend the Figi Purple alot where my 75/25 is. Would that bulb be a good substitute to change things up a little. Any other 4 bulb setup worth trying? Mixed reef...
Thanks!
Thanks Grim! I just put in my order with reefgeek. I also ordered a Fiji Purple bulb in addition to your recommendations to play with...
The Tek light has two switches... What kind of lighting schedule would you recommend for a mostly LPS tank with one BTA?
Thank you!
6 lamp tek should come in about that price.
I hear awesome things about the tek lamps, but I have not been able to find a 6 lamp fixture for under $350 w/ out bulbs.
I really like the power consumption of T5s bu I got an offer to trade an LED build I am doing for my BioCube in exchange for a 36" Coralife Aqualight 2x150w HQI fixture (http://www.innovativelights.com/esu-53604.html) with 3 month old current 14k bulbs. How do you think this will do over it? Do you think I will need T5 actinics to supliment?
for a 48x30x25 150 gal with sps & lps i have a current nova extreme pro t5ho setup with 6 bulbs, currently the stock current brand bulbs 3 10k daylight and 3 420nm actinic. what would be the best combo to upgrade to?
Reefgeek has the 6x39 Tek for 279.00 or something like that.
You could try 3 Blue Plus and the UVL Actinic White which would be more blue with a slight purple hue from the pink actinic white. You could also try a GE 6500K Daylight in place of the aquablue in you current mix if you are looking for brighter green and yellow colors in the tank.
Man, I would trust a current for a tank like that size.
8 lamp Powermodule would be the way to go.
I would keep any sps right on top of the rocks under the lamps

ATI Blue Plus
UVL Actinic White
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Aquablue
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Aquablue for a more 14K look or blue plus for more blue towards 20K
Then I would have to buy bulbs, and I would not want to skimp on those.
Is there any other fixture even work looking at for a little less? Any other individual reflector 6 bulb fixtures that are a little less expensive then the Tek. Sorry man, ballin on a budget here....lol
Are fans usually enough to contain the heat from an HQI set up, or are chillers often neaded? I live in florida but the room would rarely see temps over 80*.
