I run an ATI Sunpower 6 bulb. Here is teh setup:

Front-

ATI Blue+
ATI Blue+
UVL White
ATI Blue+
ATI Blue+
Giesseman Aquablue

I don't see reds pop out much unless only the dusk/dawn are on. Would the reds pop more during the day if I switched out the Aquablue for a figi purple? My tank is predominately SPS.

Yes they should. Your tank may look a little more purple but your reds should be there.

If i order a 36" retrofit kit, will it fit in a 36" canopy or do i need more than 36" for it to fit?

I think with endcaps and the bulbs, it is really like 35.7" or something. Most 36" retrofit kits should fit just fine.

I just replace new lamp for my 5'x2'x2' SPS dominated tank.
Here is new lamp. Do you think they are good enough ?
slot 1,3,5,7 are together, and slot 2,4,6,8 are together. and I want to have Blue+ and Fiji for dusk/dawn.

If I like more purple look but not add more bright to the tank. Can I switch #4 (Blue+) To What Actinic bulb?

I try to never run the Fiji's at the front and back. The back Fiji is almost useless.

The PAR is about the same but growth isn't all about PAR.

You will lose some green and yellow spectrum but add more red. I don't think you will see a huge change in growth, one way or the other.

What would keeping the Giesseman Aquablue and replacing the UVl White with the Figi do?

Probably nothing. Maybe a little more red but I doubt it.

I heard the Fiji is not good to run next to white bulb (ATI AquaBlue). Is it true or okay to run when the full light?

ok, i think i asked this before, but now i am going with a diff tank so want grims, etc opinion..

it is a 6' x 2' x 2' 180g tank. dual back megaoverflows set like 6" away from the sides. i want sps, lps, etc...

i have 2 ic660s with each a 4 48" bulb setup with reflectors now over my 150g.

it is pretty cramped and i have them overlapped/staggered to cover the sides (so down the middle, the lights/reflectors are basically touching, but the ends alternate sides sticking out).

will 8bulbs be enough light for the 180g? what bulbs to get? will the staggering mess anything up? thanks

I run mine next to an ATI Aquablue.

Usually you want to avoid clumping daylights together but you will be fine.

Could someone do me a HUGE favor? I am building a fixture tomorrow for my IceCap T5 retro that is coming in the mail. I just need to know the actual dimensions of the 48" retro kit. How long I need to make my fixture and how deep.

No but a friend here who also has a PAR meter did. His technical analysis was they suck. He didn't know how old the lamps were but I believe it was a 40 breeder he measured it on and PAR was in the 50's at the bottom.

I wouldn't worry about dust control so much but it might be a way to quiet any noise you might hear from the fans.
