i am taking my aquapod and pump what in there in my large sump but do they need light there are no corals so I thought I would ask

If it's just fish only it isn't a big deal, good lamps in any fixture will be fine.

I'm going with the Nova Extreme Pro 6x54, I looked at the other fixtures and they would be nice to have, but the wife is starting to put clamps on my aquarium monies. Getting it for 300 bucks helped when the other fixtures without bulbs cost more than that

Bulb placement question

I have 6 x 39w. 4 are on a 660 IC. I just added the other 2 to get better dusk and dawn. I have a collection of blue + and blue specials to run a couple different combos there, but I also have a Fiji purple that I want to put into the mix. I have mixed reef, getting more and more sps and clams.. where should I place the bulbs

Bulb placement question

I have 6 x 39w. 4 are on a 660 IC. I just added the other 2 to get better dusk and dawn. I have a collection of blue + and blue specials to run a couple different combos there, but I also have a Fiji purple that I want to put into the mix. I have mixed reef, getting more and more sps and clams.. where should I place the bulbs

Blue Plus at the front and rear with the fiji purple just front of center. Other than that just play around until you get the mix you want. You can do all blue plus with the fiji if you like a really blue look which is where I would start then add in Aquablues until you get what you like.

No SPS of any kind. No clams. Some LPS. Mostly polyps and shrooms, etc.

EDIT: I tend to lean towards green/blue/pink/red. Not likely to have much yellow. Oranges slightly more likely.
