Grim, I have a 8 bulb nova extreme T5 fixture. What bulb combo do you recommend? Want to keep a GBTA and some sps. Maybe even a clam if it's possible.

ATI 24" 8 bulb for Growth and Colour

Great thread, looking for an opinion on two scenarios.

I have a 48x36x12 coral table that I need to light up. I am looking for optimal growth for frags.

I already have in hand an ATI 24" 8 bulb that I could hang right away, I am concerned that this may not be big enough so I have two Tek Elites T5 48" long x 6 bulb on order. So I would have 12 bulbs to play around with

Pros and cons to each, the ATI is in hand and ready to rock, I would have to order and spend more on the Teks.

Would the ATI do what I need it to do? Or should I hang it temporarily and order the Teks? ( 3 weeks out in Canada)

ATI BLUE +
ATI BLUE+
ATI AQUA BLUE SPECIAL
ATI AQUA BLUE SPECIAL

Please give me your thoughts on bulb combinations for each

Grim, I'm buying a Current Outer Orbit light fixture and want your opinion about which t5 bulbs to use. It has 2 150w MH's and four 39w t5's. I'm looking for something that will make the corals pop with a 20k look. I was thinking of replacing the t5's with all blue + bulbs. Do you have a better suggestion? Thanks in advance!!

Grim I have have a NEP 36" on a 40br. I just upgdaed to these bulbs. Can you tell me what order I should have them in? From front to back bulb #1 and #5 are on one swicth and the rest are on the other switch.

3 ATI Blue+
1 ATI Blue Special
1 GE 6500k
1 UV Actinic White

And Lastly, what is the difference (visually) between these two combos is there much of one?

The AS Blue is about the same as Actinic Plus, both are made by narva. Slightly less PAR than a Blue Plus with about the same look.

As far as you mixes above I seriously doubt you would see any difference between to two, there just isn't that much difference between the two brands of Aquablue.

Teks would be better just because they will give you the coverage you need.

I would use 8 ATI Blue Plus and 4 UVL Aquasuns. 4+2 in each fixture.

Dam you Grim, I am so close to pulling the trigger on a 6x24w PM. How much do you get paid for advertising ATI and Reef Geek again? Or are you posing under a fictitious handle so we don't expose you as Greg from Reef Geek? All kidding aside, your help has been great. Greg was kind enough to sell me a 6 bulb PM with just 2 bulbs since I just bought 4 ATI bulbs. Using 2 ATI Aqua Blue Specialzs and 2 Aqua Blue Plus, what 2 additional ATI bulbs or Fiji would you go with? I want to keep everything (clam on the sand, SPS on the rock mixed with some LPS).
 
I am purchasing an ATI Sun Power and have no clue about the bulbs. The tank is 48 long 24 deep and 16 wide. I like a more natural look, with a slight blue hue. What would be the best combo and in what order should the be in this fixture? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do a Blue Plus and a Fiji and ask Greg where the hell my commission check is :hmm3:

I have a 40 breeder with a 250w reefstar hanging above the tank 14k. I was thinking about adding some t5 small width tho. Any suggestions. Whats the best unit for T5?

If you are just supplementing the halides use a couple of the uvl 454's with the built in reflectors. With the plain tombstone endcaps they need about an inch of room.
