8 Actinic Plus, 2 Midday and 2 UVL Actinic White.

2 54 t5
2 250W mh
2 54wt5

I will like to have it blueish purpleish kind of color what would be the best bulb setup for this combination ?

Grim,
I'd like to call on your expertise for the final time. I've found a Marineland Pro Series 48" 2X150w MH and 4 54w T-5s for about the same price as the Tek Elite w/ bulbs and mounting bracket.

I'd like to get your thoughts on the best light. Leaning toward the Marineland due to the MH plus 4 T-5s, but I don't have experience in T-5s and perhaps the Tek is the better all-around fixture.

Maybe I'm overthinking this.

But the place I ordered my bulbs from sent me a GE 3000K instead of a GE6500K. Now what kind of changes will I see both in par and the actual color from the original intended bulb combination? Thank you.

Haven't heard much about marineland as far as lighting goes so I really can't help you there.

I would skip the Actinic for another Blue Plus.

Swap the Midday for a Aquablue and put the Actinic white in the 2nd slot.

PAR will be about the same, color will be more purple, Might look cool, try to get us a picture.

Curious what your recomendation would be for bulbs say that where being used as supplimentation, For example a 2 bulb fixture that was just used for helping make the corals POP with color...Is there a certain brand/type of bulb that does the best at making corals pop? I am guessing it would be some form of Actinic bulb...just didn't know if one brand/type is the best...

Hey Grim,

I've been running two Radium 250's with a M80 Bluewave 7 ballast over my 63" SPS tank and eveything is good, but I want to add as much "POP" as possible.

I also want to run 60" bulbs to fit the entire length of the tank and currently only have an Icecap 660 as for my supplementation set-up.

Two bulbs against the front side of the tank and one against the back is my goal.

I have some ideas but am requesting your recommendation on reflectors and bulbs please???
