With my light setup 5 inches of the water, Would the bottom of the tank be considered low light?

Thank you!!

Depends on what setup you are running.

Is it a fixture? A retrofit kit? What reflectors? What ballasts? Are you cooling everything properly?

The top of your tank could be considered low light if you are using a bunch of cheap components and no cooling.

I have aga 120 gallon with mission stand and canopy. My question is I am looking at a retro kit t5 lighting but need some suggestions. Price is not really a concern but I want something nice and that will fit in my canopy. I am going to keep mixed reef with a clam maybe. Any suggestions would be awesome !

Thanks

8x54 LET retro from reefgeek. 5 ATI Blue Plus, 2 ATI Purple Plus and 1 ATI Aquablue to keep for a spare as your included lamps, order a GE 6500K Daylight in addition and use that with the Blue Plus and 2 Purple Plus lamps.

Thank you for the prompt advice. As far as the arrangement goes, does this sound about right?

Grim...
Looking for the best lamp selection for my 4 lamp T5 fixture...
FYI, this will be going over a 20H SPS dominated nano or a 20H BTA/Mushroom garden dominated nano with some Clownfish...
in either case, I am looking to achieve "brilliant color" over rapid growth

I was thinking either:

ATI Blue Plus
ATI Aquablue Special
ATI Purple Plus
ATI Blue Plus

or

ATI Blue Plus
GE 6500K Daylight
ATI Purple Plus
ATI Blue Plus

opinion or better suggestion?

TIA :)

Either will work. The one with the GE lamp will be a little more white.

If you really want color I wouldn't use an Aquablue or GE. Both combos listed are very white and colors suffer. I have tried them both before.

Replace the Aquablue/GE with either another ATI Blue Plus or a KZ New Generation.

Hi- I just ordered a new tek elite 6x39 fixture to replace my 2 x 250watt 14k mh + 2x65 pc fixture. Any advice on placement height or running hours?
Here is the bulb combination I selected. Anything i should change?
Blue +
purple +
blue +
aqua blue Special
Aqua blue special
Blue +

Tank specs:
65gal (36x 18x 24)
Sps higher, Lps lower, a couple clams.

I will be using the leg stands for this unit( not hangin)

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

I have a 125g tank that is 72" long and 23" deep. Currently have a 4x80w fixture and wondering what the best bulb combo would be? Also my LFS said this would be okay for softies do you guys agree? Thanks for the feedback in advance!

First post so hope this goes in right place.have always had halide lighting and ordered a t5/led setup for a new tank in process.it's a sfiligoi genesis t5.i really need a bulb combo recommendation.the led rows are set up 2 blue to one white. To make it more complicated the t5 rows are dimmable with row 1278 being on same wire and 3456 on a separate wire.I was thinking rows 1278 ramp up/down earlier for dusk/dawn with the blue led so I'm wanted as blue as possible for maximum coral pop and using rows 3456 more for day type bulbs.goal for color is 14-15k daytime all bulbs/LEDs on....and 20k+ when just blue LEDs and rows 1278 t5 on.Corals are Sps and lps mixed and tank is 72x32x28...fixture is 60" if matters...hope that made sense and any help would be much appreciated!

3 ATI Blue Plus and 1 ATI Purple Plus be good for softies and a few LPS on the rocks.
