Don't worry mine did the same thing when I added 2 more T5's, it will come back in a few months with vengeance!

Thanks, That was the answer I was hoping for. It is still growing on the glass and other somewhat vertical surfaces. I won't worry about it.

I was just a LFS store and they had commodity axis new t-5 III 59" unit with polished parabolic reflector and hood with bulb was 100.00 the replacements where only where only 20.00 for super blue and 18.00 for 11k daylight. They also had units that where 72".

The coraline bleaching is not unexpected.

If you have ATI lamps that Aquablue has just as much PAR as the GE, a new development IME.
Has the aquablue always been as much PAR, or is it a new version of aquablue's that have as much par?
-Chuck

So the aquablues that I bought in december won't have as much PAR as the ones sold today? Are the new ones even brighter? If they are brighter, then that may be too bright for me. What alternatives could I use when I replace mine?
-Chuck

If they are ATI Aquablues I would assume they are the same as I tested. What I heard was they narrowed the bandwith of the light produced which they claimed increased output and longevity of the lamp. It looks like they were right on the output side.

Help!

I need someplace that sells the ATI bulbs that isn't Reefgeek. It took them 8 days to get me my bulbs and everything was broken. Now they are all on vacation until Monday and I can't reach anyone after several attempts. Definately not the great customer service I've heard about on here.

My LFS only sells UVL. Can I put together a decent 5 bulb package using only those? I have LR that has been lightless for 8 days now...

that is poor service.

but if your LFS has UVL, you can get some of those. the UVL superactinic seems to be pretty darn good, the actinic white apparently is very pink, but any light on that LR will help it out a lot. while curing my LR, all i had on my tank wasa 3 foot triton actinic NO fluorescent, and it worked just fine. LR doesnt need much light, just some

Thanks all. I got my LR fresh from someone's tank, so it's not really curing. I'm worried I'll lose the good stuff I got with it if it sits another 8 days waiting for my replacements.

Grim, Aquabuys sells "D&D Giesemann ATI" bulbs according to their site. Are there multiple types of ATI? I thought it was a brand name.

ATI and D&D are no longer the same lamps. It is either D&D/Geismann or ATI.

ATI lamps are Blue Plus, Aquablue special, sun pro and actinic blue (I think)

D&D is Aquablue Actinic Plus Pure Actinic and Midday 6500.

lol...someone needs to tell Aquabuys. They are listing the bulbs as Geismann ATI: D&D Geismann Actinic Plus.
