Thanks, Mark...do you happen to have a pic of these lights on your tank. My fixture is 14 bulbs... 7 on each side, but I just don't know what the difference would be running the Pro Color as opposed to the GE 6500K which I am already running...

I do have some pics, one with blue plus, 10K, blue plus, aquablue and one with blue plus, Pro color, blue plus, aquablue. I don't have time to post them now but will later. With your multi-bulb fixture I would have a Pro color in the mix! It will pop colors other bulbs will not. As far as the 6500K compared to the pro color, the pro color is a darker red and does not have the yellow of the 6500K. They are totally different bulbs.

Hi Grim my tank sps only sizing is 48"Lx24"Wx16"H
Now i use 2x250W reeflux with luminar reflector and 2xVHO UVL super actinic with IC660. I want to change to run T5 only. So please recommend new T5 setup for me .I want to keep IC660 to run in this new system too.

I am having a hard time deciding what to put over my 75.. upgrading from a 4x65w PC fixture. I keep racking my brain between a 5 bulb set up or 6 bulb setup.
I currently have softies and LPS. I would like to get more LPS and some SPS.. I currently have a green digi growing under the PC's and would like to add a couple more. Can you please reccommend? 5 or 6 bulb set up?
Im leaning tword a tx5 setup.. but i just dont know

Watts per gallon was never a great standard. Tanks that have the same volume can be different heights, different types of lighting provide different intensities per watt. Even take the same wattage halide lamps in different colors. A 10K 150 watt lamp will provide a lot more PAR than a 20K lamp of the same brand

Grim looking for some help. I have a 8bulb tek light fixture, open top, dual view tank. Right now I have 4 geissman aquablue and 4 geissman actinic bulbs. I want to purchase a combo of the ATI blueplus and procolor. What combo can i go with using some of my geissman bulbs, or should i lose them all together. I have mostly sps.

hey grim, im just wondering why most of your recommendations are so concentrated on the actinic/blue colors? dont they give out a lot less par compaired to a 10k bulb?
im running the tek 6x39w fixture and im going to need new bulbs... when i started i got some cheap bulbs and running 4 10k and 2 actinic of some sort.
I mainly have LPS, zoos, yumas, 1 crocea clam and some variety of montiporas, what would you recommend? Its harder for me to get my hands on ATI bulbs but gisseman bulbs i can get easily.. thanks in advanced.

I would replace 2 of each lamp with 2 ATI Blue Pluses and 2 ATI Pro Colors and see what you think.
