This picture does not do justice to the beauty of this coral. I know this because I gave this coral to her many months ago and saw it this past weekend and could not believe how beautiful he was.
I gave him to her for the reason that once we moved him to our new tank, he moved all the time and was scared that he would kill other corals. Live and Learn

yes he is a beauty and really doesn't do any harm..he lays on the plate all day but it's doin fine just aggrevates me when he starts travelin cause I'm always scared he would do some damage and try to keep things(the special ones) out of his way when he starts along weekly journey which doesn't happen that often anymore

Anemones have a bad reputation, but I've had a number of them over the years (used to experiment with cloning) and have lost one coral-a hydnophora I'd gotten from a club meeting in Nashville. When they stay put for a while, they can start to get more aggressive, but I kept everything out of reach. When they clone or move around, I had them walking on corals without damaging them. The ones I had were a weed. I just lost one I paid nearly $200 for (I think-haven't seen it in days and when I did see it last, it looked bad), but have only lost one other in the past (and not to it giving itself a buzz cut, as they are prone to do).

I know when Big Girl first gave...oops Sue or doorlady as ya'll know her...we she first gave him to me he traveled the whole tank for over a week..I thought he would never find a spot to settle down ..and as far as I know(have lost a few corals) he was not the reason for the death of the three corals that I lost since I started the hobby bout 7 1/2 months ago...thinking I've do very well keeping things alive considering the horror story bouts Sue killing everything she put in the tank for a whole month....
waiting for him to split but he hasn't yet and if he does I'll let ya have it if ya want it Gary cause I know Sue and Bill don't want it cause they gave him to me and thinking they still have a split from him in the 29gal :D
I've heard they will crawl into a powerhead...wonder why...think maybe the aren't getting enough flow maybe?
Watch, listen, let live and Learn

Some BTAs are major walkers. I had a green one that would roam the tank some nights, and by next morning would be back in his spot as if nothing happened. Split anytime he got more than a few inches across.

On the other hand, I had HUGE red one (in the same tank) that never cloned and never moved. She was 18" across and gorgeous. I never had the heart to dig her out of her happy spot and slice her up, although I've propagated other anemones and it really doesn't seem to bother them.

If you have them, you need to cover your powerhead and pump intakes. Blended rotting anemone is not a fun thing to be trying to clean up.

eewww...guess that would be an ugly sight..whay do you suggest I cover the powerhead with so not to decrease the flow?
I have my overflow compartment covered as suggested by the LFS to block the light going into it to help control algae build up in it(so far it's worked).
