The Ultimate Clownfish

I saw these guys at MACNA, I was amazed I just kept staring at them they are amazing. ORA had a pair and the Tunze booth had a pair. The guy at the ORA booth told me they have only 1 set of parents, and the spawn only produces a few "picassos" so they are very rare, and there is a long waiting list for the $500 fish.
Honestly though, these guys are almost worth it, they were that cool.

The pump behind this fish is the new Tunze stream nano, it was pretty neat.

I'm almost certain I saw some of those at Seascape's. If I'm not mistaken, they were calling them "No-Stripe" Clownfish. Could they be the same thing?

actually they are called "picasso clowns" only ORA is breeding them right now. There are rules to whats considered a picasso, the whites in a certain place and so on. I really doubt seascapes has a picasso, if they did they wouldnt know it anyways ;)

Yep, those ae picassos, not snowflakes. Snowflakes are covered/sprinkled white only on the top of their bodies (do a search on FishinWishin, he has a sweet pair of snowflakes in his avatar)...picassos tend to have that jigsaw type pattern.

They are nice clowns, but no fish IMO is worth $500...I'll stick with my onyx clowns I got from Rod. They weren't cheap[ either, but much more affordable than the picassos.

Good one gecko, I guess since the gill plate is bent -$150 and the little circle halfway back is not perfectly round -$150 and the orange is not a perfect orange color -$150 I'll let you have them for $50 is that fair?

So eric, do i see 4 in that photo? and is that in your reef tank?
Thats a big anemone, very nice.

Yea Chris, that anemone is at least 18" in diameter. I think it is bigger than that but I am trying to be conservative. Those clowns should darken up as they get bigger. They are very cool. My wife wants black perc or possibly onyx for my 33 cube. We will see.

Hmm...I thought I had replied to this thread, maybe I forgot to hit submit. I was a little preoccupied with college football today....

Anyway, yeah, there are three in the picture and the mystery wrasse. They are getting darker by the week, and the third band is beginning to fill in well. They will be sweet when fully mature.

Hey Eric, those are nice Juvi Onyx. Rod always has nice Livestock. Did you give up on your quest for the A. Bicinctus?

how ultimate are those clowns if the gill plate is bent? you can see it in the pic above.
I don't think the gill plates are bent. Picasso's(true Perc's), like snowflakes, have dark coloring outlining the gill plates that make it stand out.
Here are some pics of my hybrid snowflake/True perc babies that are about 10 weeks old. These were some of the babies that I sent to a freind in PA. Hope it's OK to use his pics because my camera sucks, so credit for these pics go to Embryoguy.

You can see the outline really well on the male of my pair.
