No, not that kind of webcam. The type of webcam some of us use is more properly called a network camera... it is a standalone device which connects to a network (wired or in some cases, wirelessly) and has an embedded web server so it can directly be accessed using a web browser.
Linksys, D-Link, and Panasonic make some of the most popular models. I particularly like the Panasonic CL-xx series for a decent mix of quality and price.
