Now sit back, take a deep breath and count to ten :)
That's good advice. Let's end that part of the discussion and keep the thread on track.

My sincere apologies if it came off harsh or rude. It was not meant that way. Nor was it meant as a personal attack. Just wanted to point out it was the exception and not the rule.

ok. So what kind of fuge setup would you recommend? I am looking at possibly a hang-on-back fuge.

what kind of Macro algea should I be considering?

You should invest in a ro unit. I think it is one of the best things to do for your tank and may solve your problem. IMO a fuge will only help treat the symptoms and not the real problem.

I am an apartment dweller so an RO unit is not really an option. I know they have some plug-into-the-faucet types, but I will be purchasing a new house within 6 or so months so it wouldn't be a finacially wise move at this point.

I will remove everything I can by hand and add a HOB fuge. Is a lawnmower blenny a wise move for a 37 gallon tank?

I have also tried chemi-clean and have found that is works for very small amounts of algea, but something this bad isnt effected in the slightest.

When you move it will be the perfect opportunity to clean up your tank and cook your rocks. A ro/di unit is absolutely essential.

Yeah, Moving will be a very good thing for my tank.

...and now I have a cyano bloom. GRRRRR!!!!

Can anyone point me to some helpful articles for this stuff?

thanks!
