The wall must come down

The tank is finally running. I finished filling it this morning and added salt tonight. I also picked up my skimmer last night.

Picture time.

I keep becoming more and more amazed by these cone skimmers. I started it when i got home today and here are pics with it only for 1 hour with just the dry rock in the tank. I cant wait to see it perform when the tank is stocked.

This skimmer on your tank would be awsome, and it only uses 1/3 the power.

I was still wondering how the lights would look until i got them hung. I am very pleased and i dont ever have to use any other light in the house.....lol

The flow is pretty good. They add a little extra flow. Not as much as a pressure rated pump would but you can put your hand on them and feel them sucking in water. I have them angled slightly downwards and there is a good amount of surface agitation across the entire tank and it blows the thermometer probe at the opposite end of the tank around pretty well.

I ended up picking up the Aqua Connects. I searched and searched for another alternative but to get the blue i want without running actinics nothing had a PAR even close.

Billy be very careful with those new lumenmax elites, people are reporting they put out a ton of light a lot more then the regular lumenmax and some have even bleached their corals.

Also is that the Large cone skimmer or the new medium?

Looks like a really nice job! Can't wait to see it in person!
