Ditto, I have air compressors, framing guns, finishing guns, miter, skil ..... if you need it ask. Also I will be willing to help if needed. Any being a contractor I think you can best determine if you can pull out the wall or not. You might even be able to pull your homes prints at the county offices if you want.

Good luck, ask for help if you need it and post away!!

PS -- good job on planning to do this at the right time and thinking through everything already. Many people don't make a PLAN. It seems you have one and thought through concerns already so good job to getting off to a good start.

Thanks. I will PM you guys if i need a hand or anything. I just picked up my framing nailer, should help things go a little quicker. I think the demo wil start friday night.

You said it all. I hate demo.

Went to FAOIS today to get the wiring harnesses for the lighting and had a nice surprise. They had the spec sheets for the tank.

I dont think it will settle until its up and running. Its a little less nerve racking now that i can build my stand and have it ready to go so i dont have to move the monster more than once.

Looks like some fun. Did this a year ago to a friends 180. Will be starting a similar project on my 260 in 6 months with a fish room in the garage. Looking forward to tagging along.

oldsaint got any pics of the 180 you did?
We took some early ones. I should have some more somewhere. I need to get over there and take some new ones. My friend that did most of the construction did the dry wall. He rounded the edges flush with the tank. Looks very nice.
We crammed separate automated 30 gal water change and Tunze topoff systems, electrical, 55 gal sump, Gamma 40 watt UV, retractable lighting, and a big Euro reef in that little closet...lol Still have room to walk in and do maintenance on the tank.

Billy what are your thoughts on lighting? I have been thinking my tank is going to be 72" x 30" x 24" which would be very similar to yours. I don't want want have to run actinic so that will save me on power and bulb replacement. I would run 3 250watt MH bulbs in good large reflectors maybe like lumenarcs that could spread the light out over the 30" width. I'm thinking probably going with 14K phoenix or radiums but they will probably be the phoenix. I have the phoenix on my frag tank and it has great color and growth with no actinic and they last 14 months on HQI and they are only $60.00 each. The radiums look good too without actinics and have good growth but are more money and I believe you got to replace them at 9 months. My aquaconnects on my main tank are very good bulbs but IMO they need actinic supplements to get a little blue look to them but it just may be my ballasts I'm running. Also they are $120.00 each and only last 9 months. I'm thinking with the 3 250's phoenix's I could run 8 to 9 hour photo period which would be about perfect. Hope you don't mind my rambling on just thought I would share my thoughts I'm sure whatever you come up with will work good for your tastes.
