I have been down in Curacao for a deployment (terrible, right?) for the last three months. I left her a Solana, biocube and a new ~1g pico with a mantis to care for along with 3 very needy birds, and a job. Oh, and there's the little bit about having a 1 yr old and a new one brewing.
I came home last night to a very clean house, a nice yard, three tanks that not only look good, but have lots of growth.
She kept a tank for about 2 months while I was on TDY a few years ago with the same results. The best thing is, while I'm home this is my hobby. She likes it, but she doesn't do much at all with it. I think she would outshine me if she set up her own tank based on her tank sitting abilities.
I'm glad to know my critters are in good hands when the air force calls. Curacao was nice, but it's good to be home!
