The word 'Japanese' in a coral description

Actually, the multiple keywords in his listings is against ebay policy. It is called keyword spamming. One way to get it under control is to report the seller to ebay. ;)

BTW, I got an e-mail back from this guy this morning telling me he was going to report ME to ebay for using his pic in this thread.

Hehe out of the whole herd he picked me... he admits the word spamming

Hes gonna report me to the Medical board for my ethics

"I'm just curious to know if your RC buddies know about your creative names you use to sell on here on Ebay.

PS the names I use such as: Cyphystrea Micromussa Live coral Acanthastrea is for search reasons and you know it.

A doctor with 2 faces...I told you before you give doctors a bad name. I would like to get a hold of your peitince OR even report you to the medical board of your unethical behavior."

HOLY SCHNIKES!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys,

This thread was brough to my attention and I feel the need to explain:

Cquarium.com doesn't list on Ebay. However, I have a close old customer/friend (Ray). Ray needs to stay occupied due to special circumstances and he asked me to use my pictures and products to sell on Ebay. I have no connection with his Ebay operation except the pictures.

If you have any questions or concern, please contact me directly.

Happy reefing,
Adam

So if "Ray" is only using your photos and not selling the corals on your site, and you both have the same coral posted for sale someone is decieving the customer.

I made the connection between cquarium and the ebay listings a little while ago when I saw a couple common pix. I was really amazed - myself and several friends have dealt with him and he is GRADE A - TOP NOTCH. I'm an SPS guy at heart and Andy has always been fantastic to deal with - he has some of the best SPS around (for lots of years now).

I totally believe Andy because IME not only does he have awesome SPS - but he's honest and a no-BS kind of vendor. To be honest I'd kinda forgot about the site because I've been blowing my Benjamins on LPS lately but I gotta get back to my SPS ways soon.

Besides, anyone who quotes the best Singer/Songwriter that ever lived gets at least a dozen free passes with me. ;)

But Adam, I would definitely recommend not letting Ray use the pictures you use on your website. I'm sure you have good intentions, and I'm sure Ray is a nice guy - but as a business owner .... best not to mix business with friendship. JMVHO.

Now I'm sure this thread will get moved to the vendor forum. :)

If he uses your photos, please explain this:

Your photo of coral I purchased:

Please spare me the "difference in lighting and monitor" line that I've heard several times over. Please also spare me the "green tinge" argument, as the light on the bottom of the tank is passing twice through 3/8" non-starfire glass. What does everyone else think? Difference in lighting?

This entire transaction will be detailed after it is settled in the vendor experiences.

This discussion should not be removed to PMs and private emails. You are a business serving the people of this forum and discussion should be here, where we are ALL accountable.

As an added note, that is the first picture I took of the coral and was sent to the seller, that's why I have included it here. I have many other photos, none look even close to the auction photos despite setting the white balance to match exactly the light in my tank.

Oooh, that's kind of a bummer. Still a beautiful coral but much different than the first shot. I can only say my SPS always came in as advertised - or eventually colored back up with time.
