The_Rider - Zen Garden (~250g system)

Thank you Rickyrooz1

The back of my overflow box is around 4-5 inch from the basstrap and the back of the tank around 10" from the wall.

Thanks, I am debating on how I want to set up a 40" deep tank. In order for me to access the entire tank I will need to have the tank 12" from the back wall. Would having the tank this far from the wall be an eye sore?

I think it depends on your room configuration. I think 12" won't be noticeable in a small room but if you have a big open room it may be more noticeable.

For my case, I have a frag on the left and I will have a table of some sort for the profilux/future doser, food and etc. So I cannot really see how far the tank is from the wall since I only have around 4-5' on the left and 3-4' on the right. Either way I don't think 12" would be an eyesore.

I just looked at your thread :o Awesome tank !! Do you have a thread build for your new tank ??

Thanks Rickyrooz1

Thanks. I don't have a build yet since I haven't decided on the final dimensions. The options are peninsular style, island overflow or center overflow on the back panel. I think my best bet is the center back panel overflow and have the tank 12" from the wall. The tank will either be 66"x40"x24" or 72"x40"x24". If I went with an island overflow like Ed Reef I would go 84"x42"x22".

Very nice build! I am having a tank of the same
dimensions built over at AGE. I just wish they were
as fast as you builders. I've been waiting six months
now!

How do you like the pump? Only uses 85W for 3200GPH, better than red dragon and Dart.

Thank you Crypsis !

I love the dimension! From what I heard, AGE's tank are incredible definitely worth the wait, but certainly easier to say once you received the tank but after six month it should be at your doorstep soon :) Did you started a build thread yet ? Did you go peninsular with external overflowbox too ?

I didnt run in on my setup yet but I tried it in a bucket in my shower ... Crazy quiet but so powerful :P I had a waterfall or a geyser if you prefer around 6' high but the input was reduce because the pump was sucking so much water that it suck on the side of the bucket... I'm sure I will love this pump like any other Marinetech product :)

Awesome build! Who made your sump? Also, where did you get that overflow/background for your frag tank? I'm working on adding a frag tank to my system too and that looks like a great product.

Marinetech did all the acrylic work : Sump, oveflow for both my tank and my return pump also. I would PM you his info because I think we cannot direct to website that are not sponsor on this site. Or you can go on the 750g L shape build and talk with Marie. She's his girlfriend and you can see a lot more of his work in that thread :)

What size plumbing does the Marinetech pump use? Do you know what the max. head height is?

Sorry about my other post, the info wasn't accurate

The inlet is 1.250" and the outlet 1" and the max. head height is 12'. Also it's max 85W, if it's not running at full capacity, then it's lower than that :eek1:
