Theres a feather duster on SPS bud

I just got a blue matrix frag, it wasn't bright blue like its mother colony, but what I also noticed was that it has what looks like a feather duster, in one of its bud...where polyp is supposed to be....

will this spread to my other sps in the tank? is it one of the reason why this frag lost the color?

I'm contacting the person who gave me the frag and see if I can get a replacement...but if this isn't something I need to worry about, I may just hold onto it.

I had a frag once that had these all over it... It never seemed bothered

Could be a barnacle as well
, eitherway no issues

I guess its a barnacle...as long as it doesn't bother the SPS color or growth, I'm ok with it
