Thermostat or Reefkeeper?

I need some advice in choosing a good thermostat to plug my 800w titanium heater into. I only need a thermostat, but was considering the Reefkeeper Lite, since it costs the same. I want something that will maintain the temperature I set within a degree, and that will last a reasonably long time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I'd say go RKL over the thermostat

you can have it turn on fans and/or lights if the temp gets to high.
and run the heater on the low end.

I have the RKL running my lights and ozone, and will be adding my ph's and pump soon.

Definately the RKL, many more options compared to just a thermostat. When I was researching controllers everyone said that they never could see going back to not having a controller and I totallly agree now that I have my ACIII.

Can an rkl control more than 1 heater?

Thanks for the replies- I was leaning that way anyway. Does anyone know what wattage heater the RKL can handle? My heater is 800w.

I've also been looking at a basic controller mainly to prevent a runaway heat situation. Would the RKL-1 be enough or do you need the RKL-3? Do both come with a temperature sensor?

if i remember right ports 1/4 can do 8amp which is close to 800w if i remember right?

also to the person who asked rkl should be able to handle 16heaters lol
