Really nice tank, btw those two green pieces you called a monti and a stylo are called ORA Green Psammocorra

I checked with o2manyfish. The green piece I called a stylo came from him and he said it could be the ORA Nuclear Green Psammocora. The bright green monti was purchased from WWC. I'm going with that until you convince them they are wrong.

Here is a picture of the Chaeto from my ARID reactor after running for about 15 days. This time I more or less followed the directions and as you can see the Chaeto growth is as advertised. The 'more or less' part is that I put some Gracillaria into the ARID along with the Chaeto thinking that I might be able to create a steady source of Gracillaria for my tangs. The Gracillaria experiment failed in that some of the Gracillaria turned yellow and the amount of Gracillaria in the reactor stayed about the same.

This time, after cleaning the reator, I seeded it only with Chaeto.

Looks really good Ted. I like the rock work and you did it right with 8 radions.
Let's see where you put the radion balast.

Update: Current Configuration

Update: Current Configuration

I thought I would post some pictures of the current configuration of my system.

Front of tank, doors closed.

Left side, rat's nest visible behind the stand.

Right side.

Right side view behind stand so you can see the rat's nest.

OK...let's look inside. Front of system, doors open. I am now running a Pentair - Aquatics Ecosystem Smart UV 40. That's the beast on the bottom with the flex hoses attached to it.

Left side, panel off. A bunch of stuff including an EB-8 mounted upper left, my Ozotech ozonizer set up, the left side of the UV sterilizer and my ARID C-24. I used to have my AA top off reservoir underneath the tank. I was able to squeeze the ARID unit into this spot but when I added the UV sterilizer, I moved the reservoir to the 'equipment room'.

Right side, panel off. You can see a fan upper right. That is one of three fans I have on the system, 2 under the tank blowing on the sump and 1 on top blowing across the tank.

Back to the left side, you can see the other sump fan.

Finally, a shot of the fan and fish feeder on the top of the tank. The three fans have been keeping the system below 77.5.

I did some system maintenance today. Here is a shot of the chaetomorpha from my ARID before I thinned it out.

Love your tank!

Thanks Joe!

You may not recall this but we met at a frag swap in....wait for it...Encino at Dave's. This was a long time ago and it was where I first met some of the more venerated Reefer's including you, Scott Berman and Dave.

Hope all is well.

Ted

Ha! I remember that Ted! Great to see you doing so well. I want a tank again. Am looking for something 6 foot. Like a 180--125 tall or 240 or whatever.
Hi Ken!!!
