i DUNNO MAN BUT THE FACT THAT WE CAN ATTACH THEM SOUNDS GOOD, ANYWYAS IT WILL PROBABLY WORK FOR ME ON A LIMITED BASIS PERHAPS TO ATTACH SOME MONTI CAPS TO OVERFLOW MAYBE
Good I have no problem with the xenia's in my case I started with two little stalks, only at the top and in the corners and already they r growin like weed, Mind u Bckane wat may happen to your xenia colony is that it will migrate towards the light and the light only

Do we have any electrical experts out there? What happens if you put 2 magnetic fields intersecting each other? Could it be stray current? I know one of their magnetic systems would probably work really well, and I might even be talked into trying it. However, I don't know what would happen with 2 sets in close proximity to each other.
Any magnetic field will induce a weak electric field around it (and vice versa). Realistically, it's nothing to worry about here, as the field would be much weaker than the electrical field produced by the current running through a wire to a powerhead. The number of magnets wouldn't matter, either.
I took some pretty nasty physics and EE courses in college.

bckane: how'd you get the xenia on the plexiglass in the first place?
I had some xenia on a small rock.....then used a rubber band to attach the rock to the plex glass.....as soon as the xenia moves off the rock to the overflow then I was going to remove the hanger
