hello. i had a colony of zoos die recently and i noticed a very skinny white worm slowy moving on the rock before they all had died. it looked like a very heavy test fishing line.

does this describe a known zoo parasite?

also, i got a refractometer and realized my salinity was at 1.022. im slowing raising it over the next few days. do you think that might have affected my zoos? it doesnt seem too low but i thought id ask. thanks in advance

Spagetti worms look kinda like that, but they are rooted in the rock or a casing, they they're little wormy tentacles come out looking for food. Those look like what you describe, there would be more than one tentacle generally though.

I have these dang things every where....I do mean every where, they are just an irritater and not a killer. Most likely the zoas were on their way out when the worms got to them.
