Think I bought the wrong clam..

Was at my LSF yesterday to get my first clam. I asked the owner what would do well in my tank. ( 75g w/4x54w T-5's ) I knew I didn't have enough light for maximas but I couldn't remember which one was the best low light clam. Well, he told me a crocea would do fine!!! Good Grief.
Come to find out of course that that one is even harder than the maxima!
Usually this fellow gives real good advice. ( and USUALLY I really resarch what I plan on getting)
He's so pretty but I plan on taking him back today. I assume I'm correct that he would not do well even if placed way high up?
So what clam WOULD you recommend?

With your lighting setup I would recommend more along the lines of a squamosa or a derasa, they are not nearly as light-demanding as the max's and crocea's. Also, crocea's are the top of the light demanding clams, so I would think I would change it out.

Try bringing the clam back to the lfs and swapping it for a squamosa or derasa. If that doesn't work, you could stick the clam up higher in your tank. I dunno how successful the clam will be long term though.
