Well... Unfortunately, after a few days back in the main tank, the little piece that tore off doesn't look so good. Chemistry should be same - I was using 100% tank water (from same tank) for water changes when I had it out of the tank, but obliviously lighting was different, and perhaps a degree or two in temp.

If it doesn't improve today, I'm afraid I will have to give up on it and remove.

(But on the bright side, the nem that this piece tore off of, is doing very well!)

Yeah, I was becoming very hopeful too... Not sure what caused it to take the turn for the worse...since it appeared to be doing so well, considering it was only a 1.5" torn off edge of a nem... only thing I can attribute the change to is the change in lighting, being placed back in the tank (which I tried to accommodate for). Either that, or it was just never gonna make it to begin with, and its time just finally ran out. If it is gone, it fought the good fight, for sure!

Well... It's official... The small part did not make it.

I think I waited a day longer than I should have with removing it...smelled pretty bad after siphoning it out of the tank.

I will close this one off with a pic today, of the original nem.
