Think this anemone will end up mostly purple or brown?

I'm having no luck on my attempts to find a nice purple sebae. Found this one cheap. Do you think it will end up brown with purple tips or could the purple in the tips end up spreading when it regains color?

Seller sent me another pic with it closed. I wasn't expecting a red base. From the first pic I thought it was a bleached Crispa. I didn't think they had colored bases though. Is this not a Crispa?

Yeah, the tents were looking pointy and weird before so I was not sure but sometimes when bothered they get like that.
The stridations on disc and red foot are what made me think LTA, does it have spotted veracue?
This is mine from way back during a swap, also bothered looking but a bit bigger than yours, but just for reference.

When anemones stressed and shrink, their color get more concentrate and intensify, in addition to Zoo lost, they will look brighter. Once healthy they will not look anywhere as color intense.

Yea. Looks pretty identical to yours. I was really hoping it was a bleached Crispa originally but I guess LTA is better than it ending up being a condy. Just had to move some sand to its side of the tank. Still hunting for a crispa though.

Having had a few of both I actually prefer an LTA, especially for a mixed reef, as they stay smaller and lower in sand bed, of course that is unless you are trying to match w/ the proper clowns, but agree, either would be my preference to a condy.

That first 2 pictures looks like a Condy, the last two pictures look like LTA. Good luck. TLC is what he need right now.

So if it regains health it could end up being purple, feed mysis 2-3x a week to help regain health and dont blaze it w/ light right away, maybe place by a ledge area where it can pull in or out of light as needed.
Post pics later

That's my plan for now. It actually looked pretty great when I checked on it this morning with the lights still out. I'm pretty hopeful that it will do well. I think it bleached because the online store that I bought it from had it in a bare bottom tank. I'll take a pic tonight.

I also picked up a Malu at the same time. I think that one may need treatment but I'm going to give it a day or two first.

Here it is now. I'm pretty impressed with how much better it looks

Here's a Malu I grabbed at the same time. Tough to get a decent pic of this one for some reason.

Man what a difference and no doubt what it is now, I love the looks of LTA's, and Malu are on my favorite list as well.
They may both take on a nice purple color, keep posting pics as they regain health

Wow, that LTA looks MUCH better in your last pic. Those guys will look very nice when they color up, they look pretty good for just getting them. I'm looking forward to updated pics in the future. Congrats-Nice scores!
