thinkin of givin mantis one more shot...

im thinkin about gettin the mantis shrimp again..... what should i do ?? what should i watch out for?? do i have to wait?? cuz i changed 50 percent of my water in my tank... should i wait for like 2 weeks? what else should i watchout for before i get my mantis?? i dont want it to turn out a tragedy like my first mantis...... thx!

Do you have a test kit for Nitrites nitrates and ammonia? I would test the water once every few days for a week or 2 and makes sure that nitrites and ammonia are at zero.
But of course when you get the mantis you have to take an hour or 2 acclimating it to the new tank water. Invertebrates are very susceptible to sudden changes in salinity. Read around find a thread on tank setup and makes sure yours is similar and make sure you can keep up with feeding the mantis the correct things.
