Thinking about adding a Green Mandarin to my 75g Minimalist tank

I wonder is I am being cruel to the fish by adding it. The tank is 9 months old and has a large fuge below; though, I wonder if I really have enough rock work.
Here is a pic of the amount of rock (an old pic, when the tank was just set up).

The odds of successfully spot feeding are a bit low; though, I might be able to use the jar method once per week or so. I wouldn't abandon the idea of breeding some pods in the "fish room" (the spare bedroom/fish closet). And I am I really nuts with a pair of mandarins??!!!

if u have enough pods in the fuge, go for it. once in a while just stir up the fuge to get the pods into the display.

That's not a great deal of rock for a 75, but it depends on how your fuge is setup, and how your water gets back into your display. In any case, please do not start out with "a pair" of mandarins. See if you are able to keep one fat and happy, then after a year you could get him or her a mate.

Went with 1 mandarin. Thanks for the input. I may some PVC cemented together into the fuge (picture it like a stack of cylinders) to create more surface area for algae and pods to live on. (I dont want rock in my fuge since the macro will stick to it and not tumble --shouldnt have that problem with smooth pvc). I've noticed in the DT the pods flourish between the MagFloat halves when it is on the dark/rear of the tank.
