Thinking about an up grade

I'm thinking about doing a tank upgrade . The new tank would be 6" deeper ( from front to back ) . I would like to use the same stand , and just add an additional 6" to the back side . Does that sound ok . I don't think it will be a problem . If I sell the tank I have now I don't know if I want to remove the rock back wall , and put it in the new tank , or let it go with the tank .

I would like some input on this matter .

I don't see where the new tank would hurt the beautiful stand you have. As far as the rock goes, you just need to find someone who wants the whole thing together.

That back wall is awesome...would definitely sweeten the deal when you sell the Tank. On the Stand i think Balance would be an issue if you just add the depth to the back, you may want to split the difference.

On the 6" addition , it would not be an overhang . It would have support legs tied in to the rest of the stand . Ted

I would make a new stand. Thats alot of water and weight. I would leave nothing to chance. I thought your stand was made with a face to dress it. If so it should be no problem to rebuild and keep the same face.
