Thinking about switch to Aquaforest program

I am thinking about changing to Aquaforest in a month. Currently my 650 liter tank is 3 yrs old with a 57 watt UV.

I currently have mostly LPS corals. 6 months ago i was dosing up to 30ml of Red Sea No3Po4-x and GFO reactor to control my no3 and Po4. The best that my levels were was 10 no3 and .10 for po4.

I purchase the Pax Bellum algae reactor since April. Slowly took my GFO off line and reduce the amount of dosing NO3PO4.
My levels no3 15, po4 .56 Ca 440, Alk 150ppm, Mag 1420

Note: I have so much chaetomorpha growing a week

I am tracking down the main source of my po4 issue.

Can I still use my algae reactor and UV when using the Aquaforest program?
How do I slowly transition anyway from no3po4 to this new program?

You could run the system the way you are, or you could run different. Really depends on your desire effect. If you want to use parts of the system along side of your current method, there is really something for all. Keep in mind that your refugium, while compatible with Probiotic system will work, but likely the plants will eventually be out competed for nutrients, as the bacteria will efficiently lower N&P. Also, UV is not a good idea for this system too, as it is about creating bacteria, and UV destroys bacteria, so both of these control methods for nutrient reduction would be counterproductive to the probiotic method. That said, you can use AF Reef Salt, mixes with great values, close to NSW. You could also use coral supplements, as well as foods. The AF Carbon and AF Phosphate Minus would also be compatible. I suggest looking over the user guide and gaining ideas about the products. We are here to help, but the read lumps you in to a category, which will help you in production choosing. Cheers
