Good to know RC is better than the regular IO
Good to know that the RC is better than the regular IO. I have been using IO for the past some months on my tanks and I wetted my new display with the IO and haven't introduced any corals yet. well, before I introduce corals, I will switch from regular IO to RC I guess.
So here is the question now, I installed a vertex calcium reactor with 10% mag media and 90% reborn calcium media and now my calcium is 440 ppm, 130 ppm of alkalinity, and 1250 ppm of magnesium now. Before adding the calcium reactor things were some what low with IO, i.e., calcium was 330 ppm, and mag was around 900 ppm.
So here is the question, even after adding a reactor should I need to make the change from regular IO to RC?
The calcium media will have all the trace elements needed to the corals right?
I have had fish before but somewhat of a newbie to corals. I quarantined all my corals (acans, zoas, and sps) and waiting for the hair algae to die in my tank before adding and the chosing the right salt mix may help me in keeping corals
