Thinking of getting a new clam

I have had a clam for about 3.5 years and the one I have is doing well. I bought 2 smaller ones and they were eaten by some Oenone Fulgida worms. I have since caught and removed 6 worms. MY large 6" Maxima would have bites out of him periodically and the smaller 2-3" clams were killed. It has been just over 2 months now and no bites out of my larger Maxima in that time frame. All his bites have healed and he looks better than ever. Also have not seen any new worms in that time frame either. I have thinking of getting another larger tear drop Maxima or Crocea. Do you guys think I am safe. Also have not seen any dead snails slimed. I am 95% sure the worms are gone. I say 95% because I do not feel there is anyway humanly possible to know 100% they are all gone. Also the clam will be too large for them to eat. If there are anymore the clam may get a bite out of it, but should recover. I am also going to bait a trap for 2 or 3 days to see if all that is left is a pile of slime. I will be getting the clam end of the week. Let me know what you guys think. I have been dying for another clam, but do not want the clam to die.
