Thinking of quiting Bio-Pellets due to SPS colors...........

Hi folks and thanks for your attention. I have been having some Coloring issues for some time and have been reading a few post's and threads about people having issues with coloring while using BP's. This is my third tank using them and the second of two that I feel the colors are off in my SPS. My first tank I used them didn't last long due to divorce but it was the best looking tank I have had imho. I have been trying to replicate the colors from that tank this whole time.

One of the main differences with this tank and the current one was that it was built with a house using city water and my later two have been well water. I can't help to think that this may have some sort of effect but I have read many threads stating that with a good RODI unit this doesn't matter. I know that wells have high C02 and exhaust's my DI resin quickly but I am still able to maintain 8.2-8.3 pH levels. I have also seen a few very nice tanks on well and I don't think it's a issue but I wonder.

Here is a link to a previous thread with pics of my corals. Not all the SPS have poor coloring but most of them. The red milli is the best example.

My Params are currently

Salinity 1.026
pH 8.2
Ca 440
Alk 8.9
Mag 1500-1600w/ tech M due to earlier Bryopsis
P04 .02-.04
Nitrate undetectable with Salifert.

I have a light bio-load and prob don't need to have BP's. I have tried increasing my feedings and nothing much happens. I have also tried the various coral foods like Zeo CV, AA, and RedSea's reef energy A-B. I honestly don't really see much difference. I will say that the RedSea has been the latest and I have only dosed them about a week.

So to sum it up I have been preparing to come off the BP's and get back to a GFO and water changes nutrient export system.

1. Am I crazy?

2 What should I expect?

3. Anything I should do to prepare besides having water ready for water changes and GRO on hand?

Thanks for your help and comments.
