I've been out of saltwater for a bit considering starting back up with FOWLR..I have a 40 gal. Oceanic cube and that's about it... everything else would have to be bought
Probably just go with a job filter couple powerheads.. skimmer maybe maybe not..I need some help with lightning options my old Orbit is just that old...so any suggestions swaying me back into the sport is appreciated along with equipment suggestions..I miss my
Watchman goby and pistol shrimp combo...

I use sb reef lights decent price for the basic, or look amazon for led.....welcome back

If your old lights still work, go ahead and use them. The fish don't care. Then worry about lighting if you decide to add corals later.

I agree with Misled. Use old lights for fish, Upgrade once you know where your headed = staying with a FOWLR or corals and what type of corals. Then decide on a light.

No when I did saltwater in the past in lived near Elmer's and was buying there mixed water if I remember correctly...

I have an old kent 35 gpd you can have if you want it. It will need a new membrane and you could change it to a 75 gpd membrane. The filters will need changed to, but you can get it running for about 40 bucks, (membrane included). If you want it, let me know, you can have it for free.
