Kind of looks like it. Set up looks new, can you just take the rock out and deal with it?

Yep, looks like an Aiptasia aka Glass anemone. You can kill it many ways bu the easiest is to biol some water and inject the boiling water into it. Some say that lemon juice works too but I've not had any luck with it. There are also many products on the market you can get for killing them as you will get more... Joe's Juice IMO is the best.

I live in peru so here i cant get many products and they have nothing here. So i will have to try the vinager or boiling water

If you can get pickling lime (Food grade calcium hydroxide) at a store, it's the same as kalk.
Lemon or lime juice have been reported to work as well.

And fire. Fire will work.
;)

I've found the best way in your situation is to dremel it to smitherines lol

This is 100% effective and easy to do especially since it's a new tank with little coral.

Take the whole rock out and dremel the area with the aiptasia using the drill bit or engraver - then rinse. Works like a charm, assuming you have a dremel --> every man needs one!

hey guys, I guess I'm a total noob, but why is aiptasia the son of Satan? I never had a major problem with it. They just look like pretty anemones.

Here,I wrote a short story.

One day, Mr. Reefnoob was going to the LFS, they sold him what appeared to be pretty anemones. They were actually aiptasia. He took them home and put them in his wonderful 125 gallon reef tank. They were great for the first few days.

But one day, the Aiptasia said in his mind, "Rise my clones! Rise!" The aiptasia then budded, and soon enough, while Mr. Reefnoob was sleeping, the aiptasia population grew from 1 to over 9000. His fish were stressed and got stung, the aiptasia was quickly taking over. Soon enough, when Mr. Reefnoob woke up, the tank was dead. Nothing was alive, not even his mushroom corals. The aiptasia has succeeded taking over the tank.

In anger, Mr. Reefnoob blew up the LFS and his tank.

The End
