This Frogspawn Needs Fragging, Right?

When I bought this thing about 5 months ago was tiny, now it's growing and growing.
Thing is, I've never fragged a coral before.

First, I assume I need to do something with it, since the new baby shoots are growing directly into the glass. They'd prefer some space, right?

Second, it's all connected. So, would I just kind of cut(?) right here or something, where the "stalk" is?

Third, there's no danger in fragging these is there? Like toxic poison coming out, polluting the water, etc

Is it pretty easy?

Full shot, it's on the bottom right against the glass.

Although it looks like a softy, it is actually an LPS coral, aka large polyp scleractinian. If it is a branching type, you can just break off a piece of the hard skeleton and secure it where you want it.

I would frag it so you could start another colony. No harmful toxins since you will be cutting the Calcium skeleton below the polyp. This is an LPS though, not a softie.

I wouldn't cut it. A huge Frogspawn would be an amazing centerpiece. I'm letting my grow, and have no plans of cutting it unless I really have to. Then again, if you have no room for it.... It's a nice one btw :)
