I've been around this hobby for awhile now and even though we all might not see eye to eye on everything, the local reefing community is pretty freaking special.
I'm lucky to live in Sactown and share this amazing hobby with so many boss people.

Just last night, I ran into Jordan at Yourreef on a spur of the moment decision to stop by. Jordan and I met when he was 14 or 15 (I think) and we chatted for a good hour; some on reefs, mostly about life.
I remember the day when his mom trusted me to take his son to the Bay Area on an epic coral trip. Some of those corals I still have today! I also missed out on the elusive Anampses femininus, but it wasn't meant to be!

Hopefully see you lot at the swap!

This is a very tight knit group. I've been in the hobby since 07. The people here are awesome and I'm happy to be a MARS member

Oh man the friends I have made in this Hobby are great. Shawn I know your far away but I can say when your here online or we run into each other its always good times. The fellows in redding always a fun time. Mark has taught me alot and made this hobby fun at times when I just wanted to ram my head into a wall. I know there are alot of others however what can I say there are to many to mention. Oh and btw Anthony I walked into your reef and Jordan was like "The brown one is here". That had me laughing so hard. But its those memories and the sticks in my tank that makes life grand.

It is really great for me to have several of the reefers in the hobby today, like Mark and Tim, that inspired me many years ago. And, to continue to meet newer reefers that give me a shot in the arm along the way.

I totally agree! I have met some really nice guys from your club, people I'm glad to call friends! I'm proud to call everyone who has chimed in on this thread friends! I was just thinking something like this last weekend. Saturday was supposed to be our monthly meeting day. Instead most all the guys in our club gave up there Saturday to help me move my tank. There was 8 guys, 6 trucks and two trailers. We had a great time hanging out talking fish tank stuff and moved my tank. Couldn't do it without those guys!

Yup - gonna have to chime in here also. Our community from North to South is incredible - our hobbiests are awesome and our hobby is amazing. Met so many great people in the last few years within our groups.
