If anyone had told me, before I got into SW tanks, that I would spend $100 on some rocks and then take great joy in spending an hour to get them positioned "just so" in the aquarium I would've backed away slowly and run. Now I just nod in agreement.

my issue wasn't the rock price. i got a deal from the club thank God. i just cant get myself to spend 300 bucks or more on a light fixture on my college budget...

what kind of fixture do you need? I bet a club member has one they would give you a deal on?

ive been looking at diy led but some are still more than 200. but idk. was thinking that or a 2 or 4 bulb t5? i put up a thread for a skimmer but not the light yet because i was going to look in the buy/sell forum but i have 2 more days before my 50/90 is lifted.

Reef breeders the best bang for the $ imo. I built similar diy, cost me the same for lights that look diy with less options. I'm drop happy with my diy but would have saved soo much time.
