Absolutely horrible!!! Whoever did this is a disgrace to our hobby...

Not only that but a disgrace as individuals.

Wow that really is a shame. Hopefully they can catch the people that did this. I'm really curious what their motivation was.

I'm really curious what their motivation was.

PetMart has somewhat of a dubious reputation over here. The owner is not what most of us consider "a people person" - customer service is not their strong suit. Also there are alot of folks that feel that they are not the most ethically responsible ie overcrowding, poor husbandry, 1/2" hippo tangs/clown triggers. I personally think alot of this is way overblown. Regardless, this was a horrible thing to do to living creatures. I hope the ones responsible get caught and that Kharma really comes around on this one.

Horrifying! I've heard some rumors about this going on recently. How can anyone disregard the life of so many living things? I'm sick thinking about this happening!

What a shame to kill all those animals. Ive never been to Pet Mart due to the bad reputation they have. Hope it all works out in the end.

Wow..that is just sickening, I can't imagine the type of person that would do such a thing to living creatures. :( Marcye was smart, she installed hi tech surveillance equipment just last month at both the farm & new store. It's a shame it has come to this, because I know it could'nt have been cheap. I hope the person who did this is caught.

Good call.

yeah thats pretty sad.i saw the post also last night after work and was thinking how can somebody do something like that.

That is just sick that anyone can do that.
I guess the only solution to this problem is servelliance (sp?) cameras and/or constructing the layout of the tanks so that access to the tanks can only be done from the inside of a room or putting locks on each canopy opening so no one can lift them and dump crap in.
More expensive to set up, but safer in the long run. If I had my own store, you bet that is what I would do.
