the directions for Quinine Sulfate at that link states:

For a single aquarium, Use the Quinine Sulfate every 24 hours with a 25% water change before each treatment. Treat the fish for 7-10 days.

The directions for the product here states one treatment:

http://www.fishyfarmacy.com/products4.html#Q

DOSAGE : 1/4 teaspoon per 10 gallons of water. Treat one time and leave in the water for 5-7 days.

Anyone know the difference? I am going to email them.

Sorry, I haven't used the quinine sulfate, and I agree, those directions are a bit confusing. I would prefer any treatment for crypt to be at least 21 days, as the cyst portion of their lifecycle is often resistant to treatment.

I've purchased Chloroquine phosphate from fishchemical.com...it is a great product, although you have to purchase 1kg @ $125.
I have been treating my fish regularly at 8mg/L, or 30.3mg/gallon (hope I computed that correctly!) with great results.
Re-dose after every water change, with the correct dosage for the volume of water removed. (if you change 40 gallons, you would re-dose with 1.212g Chloroquine).

here is the response I received from them:

"I was the one who published the websites and put the directions up there. All you must do is listen. Quinine only needs to be dosed 1 time."
