You would think that they would try to out compete each other. That must mean that they are the same species. Kinda like people......different colors but we can all mix. Awesome in my opinion!
 
At one time I glued 5 different colored morphs of montipora digitada together, they all grow and didn't kill each other either. they made sort of bumps at the glue together joints. Pretty cool looking I thought

do you have a pic of that? sounds awesome.
 
After I saw that, I actually took a big frag of a green purple rim cap and glued a piece of rose digi in the center. I will take a pic and post it on here.
 
I had an extra frag of each and figured I would give it a shot. I wish I could find another pic I saw on RC. The guy did it by accident and the thing grew like a flower; with the cap growing just around digi and never on it like petals and the digi just grew up and branching out never growing over the cap.
